System 03 Launch Campaign | The Ocean Cleanup

In August 2023, The Ocean Cleanup launched it's new cleanup technology, System 03, in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. I joined this six-week offshore mission as an Onboard Reporter for the non-profit organisation. My responsibilities included documenting this story and producing photos as well as videos around it. Besides filming and editing videos for social media channels such as Instagram and YouTube, i also covered this expedition in a documentary style for future long-form productions. Guatemala | The Ocean Cleanup

The Ocean Cleanup has been working hard to tackle the plastic pollution problem in the Rio Las Vacas in Guatemala. I followed the founder & CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, Boyan Slat, as well as other team members on location as they research the problem of plastic pollution and develop new solutions to intercept the plastic before it reaches the ocean. In May 2023, the team installed the Interceptor Barricade to halt the yearly tsunamis of trash that flood the river during the rainy season. It was my responsibility to produce content around the installation and tell this story through photos and videos, as well as cover the project behind the scenes from a documentary stand point. Office, Team & Events | The Ocean Cleanup

Working as Creative Content Producer Jr. for The Ocean Cleanup, I had the pleasure to document the hard work of the team - not only abroad in remote locations but also at their headquarters in the Netherlands. This for example included photography and videography at offsite events, documenting important meetings and taking team portrait pictures. Footage rights: The Ocean Cleanup

The underwater world is magical, and so is life on land. I have a big passion for wildlife and nature photography and love going on safaris to capture wild animals in their natural habitat. The shots above were taken in Zimbabwe and Indonesia.

Street & Travel  | Private Projects

With a passion for traveling and exploring different cultures, I have visited some very remote locations all around the world.
